Scenic Painting

Scenic Painting

Scenic painting was an easy transition from Britain's fine arts background early on to the theatre. The main difference between fine art and scene painting is the pace and the business aspect. Scene painting is rough and dirty and the scale is often much greater. Timelines must be met and projects must be carefully planned according to the wishes of the scenic designer.
